What a complete quote should include

A complete rhinoplasty quote usually specifies, separately, the surgeon's fee, the anesthesiologist's fee, and the surgical facility's fee, plus which preoperative studies, how many follow-up consultations, and what happens if a revision is needed are included; a figure without that breakdown is difficult to compare against another.

Scope and limits of this page

What this covers

  • Brings together, in a single list, the items a complete quote usually breaks down.
  • Explains why comparing only the final price between two facilities can lead to an incomplete comparison.
  • Links to the national price page and to additional questions for the consultation.

What this page does NOT do

  • This is not a quote or an estimate for any specific case.
  • Does not compare prices between facilities or recommend any range as the correct one.
  • Does not replace requesting a written quote from the corresponding facility and surgeon.

Items a complete quote usually breaks down

The surgeon's fee, the anesthesiologist's fee, and use of the operating room or surgical facility are usually three separate items, even when presented as a single total; preoperative laboratory or imaging studies, on the other hand, are sometimes quoted separately.

Other items worth confirming separately: how many follow-up consultations after surgery are included, what happens if a revision is needed and under what conditions, and whether the figure changes when paying through monthly-installment financing instead of a single payment.

Why comparing only the total can be misleading

Two quotes with the same total can cover different items; one may include several follow-up consultations and the other none, or one may cover an eventual revision and the other not. Without the breakdown, comparing only the final number does not say much about what is actually being paid for.

Costs that are often left out of a surgical quote

Sources on cosmetic surgery performed in another country document that follow-up care after returning home can carry an additional cost not covered by the original quote, especially if medical attention is needed back in the patient's home country; it is worth asking explicitly about this point before traveling for a surgery.

Before comparing prices

The national price page brings together published observations with a visible source and access date, and the questions-for-your-consultation page includes more specific points to bring to an appointment.
